I honestly was browsing online beauty shops and rekindled my love for Baby Pink. I once owned their eye jellies(which isn't sold anymore online) and those were in cute sized tubes that came out in cream shadows. Colours aren't really great that you would wear them to school or to the office as I do believe this brand is aimed mostly for the younger audience with some products that can be for the more mature, like their lip products. I decided to try the Baby Pink Glossy Lip in Orange and Pink. Reading the description, I was thinking of how glossy and watery my lip would turn out. Putting that and the pale orange and pale pink colours made me think of a wonderful lip sensation. Actually, it's just a mere lip balm that could possibly just as great as good old lip smackers. It doesn't taste like anything and it doesn't have that much colour. The colour is there but it's not entirely noticeable. Despite being said, it's cheap(like most of our budget lip balms), it has some colour, it's glossy(yes!), and it's bigger than the average sized chapstick! It's just that awesome! The glossy lip also comes in clear and pale red colour as well.

The eye-makeup remover is really gentle on the eyes. It doesn't really exactly says it removes waterproof makeup but I use waterproof and it seems to remove quite well. It's on the same level as the bi/duo oil-like eye makeup removers(from Dior, Lancome, etc..). It removes just like them in the same easy steps. Dampen cotton pad, press on area and gently sweep across. In my opinion, I think it's even better than the bi/duo oil-like eye makeup removers because I'm currently using the Dior one(and I once used the Lancome one) and I am truly tired of the oily substance. I would for sure buy The Body Shop Chamomile Gentle Eye-Makeup Remover in full size once I'm finished my Dior one. They also have a cream eye-makeup remover for waterproof makeup but I honestly wouldn't recommend unless you like using creams to remove makeup. But I don't understand why they would make a waterproof cream one when the non-waterproof one can do it all.

It's been awhile since I've last been here. A whole school year(2 semesters) have gone by and now I've just started a new one. It's been a really long time! I never stopped the compulsive shopping though I would love to review the ones I like sometime. With that being said, I'm still in chef school and I'm doing the culinary management program now. It's been fun studying but as the time of employment comes closer, I am getting a bit scared. Sigh.
I hardly take pictures of myself with makeup on and I hardly ever post those pictures of myself(in makeup) online but I just recently decided to be vain. =)

2) DIOR DiorShow Waterproof Mascara in Black
3) Shiseido pN creme shadow in pink sparkle((PK206) - the pN line is no longer available.

1) CARGO Lip Gloss Duo in Chattanooga - I left the tin in the car one day and came back to find both colours mixed into one huge blob. Still a great product!
Now one must think that a girl who has so much makeup is still sticking with the basic neutral colours.

The colour I bought is not featured in any of the pics in post. I bought the "Midnight" colour which is described as a "navy with silver glitter" on the main site. The only reason why I stayed away from black is that I have too much black at home and plus, I wanted a fun going out party-ish colour to add to my growing shimmer glitter collection at home.
First of all, there is no navy colour in the entire eyeliner. It's not as dark as a navy. It's more of a denim jean blue colour. I didn't want that colour but I guess this blue was aimed for the younger audience. It's still usable though because of it's subtle sparkle. It looks great with or without eyeshadow. I personally like it without the eyeshadow because it gives you that fun "rocker" girl image. Application isn't as smooth as I like since afterall it's not a kohl pencil at all. It's hard and crusty. The product promises that it is long-wearing but I find the glitter runs around a bit on my undereye area which totally ruins my undereye coverup. Removing the glitter is also something. The blue colour comes off quick but it's the glitter that stays in place. And after a tired night of partying, you wouldn't want to spend an extra 10 minutes just to remove all the glitter from lining area. It's probably all that glitter around my eyes because I have a slight reaction to this product. It feels itchy around the inner eye area while taking off the glitter. Definitely not my favourite product from Hard Candy. I would use this at your own risk!
In this scan, the model uses the galaxy(black with silver glitter) glitter eyeliner pencil. She also uses Too Faced Sugar Shadow. I have no clue on what shade the shadow is and what lip gloss she uses either. Although it's not really clear in how the makeup is supposed to look like in the before and after shot, I think this is a great tutorial in how to use the glitter eyeliner pencil instead of just the traditional way.

Smashbox O-GLOW Blush is the best when it comes to ladies with dry skin. If you haven't heard of this blush or know how it works then I'll quickly explain. It's really rather simple. The blush comes in a silicone gel like formula that will slowly adjust depending on your skin's temperature. A very self adjusting blush that will complement every skintone out there from fair to dark. The blush also is loaded with antioxidants that will nourish your face even more.
The reason I mentioned that the the product worked well for dry skin and not sensitive skin is because it worked for me but it may not work for others. I like how it's gel because it's easier to spread out than the average powder blush. Because everyone's face structure and cheek bones are different, it's hard to pin point where to apply the blush. The most common way is to grin widely and dot-dust the blush on the apple(meatiest part that sticks out) of your cheeks. The texture is very much like the Smashbox Photo Finish Color Correcting Foundation Primer. Very silky oily feeling that slowly absorbs into your skin. I don't really like this oily feeling at all because it feels icky. There is also a huge problem with overapplying by just a bit because you'll look like a light up doll. However, I do like how it matches my skintone . It just sinks into my skin and gives me a fresh glowly look. The small pricey tube will last for a whole season(enough for the trend to fade) because you only use 2 small droplets of the blush in one go. Definitely a repurchase item for me unless something better comes out! Blush really has never been so easy to put on!

I decided to buy and try Koji Eye Talk Double Eyelid Glue because I thought I would look a bit better with double eyelids. Let me first explain a little bit about the product first. Along with a glue the product includes a mini cheese fork that is aids in the pushing double eyelid effect. Basically, you apply glue on the top part of your eyelid and use the fork to tuck the extra skin deeper into your crease. It probably sounds scary and a bit crazy but it does work. When you think about it.. over in Japan, all the girls do this every single day before they put on their makeup so it shouldn't be that bad.
I personally find this eye glue really easy to use. The glue dries really fast so you must know where you're going to poke/"push" with the fork before applying the glue. As for the fork, it is safe as long as you don't go poking yourself directly in the eye. The whole double eyelid thing does make my eyes look 5 times bigger! It also looks natural as the product promises on the packaging(first 2 words: 自然). I also noticed that the double eyelid big eye look works for people who wear glasses as well. Although you don't see the double eyelid through the lenses, you will be able to see the noticeably bigger eyes behind.
The only thing BIG thing that I have complain is the pain that it causes your eyelids within minutes of the glue drying. It's not overly painful to blink.. it's just uncomfortable to have something pulling your lids up. I've been using if for a week already and usually around the afternoon, I tend to get sleepy because of how the eyelids are pulled up over your eyes. There's also some things I worry about this product sometimes like.. if my eyelids are pulled up so much.. wouldn't it be easier for more bacteria be able to get into my eye? And how many wrinkles will this cause my eyes?

I had wanted to get Fat Chocolate but instead I got Fat Jelly which is a sheer berry colour. You can see in the picture on the right, it is berry pink but in real life it looks like a hot pink. The shine is subtle but still there as the formula is really light and not sticky at all. It almost feels like lip balm with some sting to it. I have read that many reviewers don't like the stinging feeling that the product gives them. I think this is only a matter of personal preference. Obviously and evidently the stinging is "irritate" your lips so they can "grow bigger" for plumping. I didn't buy this product for plumping but for the cinnamon and stingy feeling. I love the feeling of how it reacts on my lips when I step into the cold. I'm probably really weird for liking that.
Overall, I'm pretty happy with this gloss. It's just as addictive as the CARGO one from before. I like how the shine is there but looks effortless. Very natural and not sticky at all. HOWEVER, there are some bad things about the gloss as well. A horrible screeching sound will sound when you unscrew the cap because of the plastic cap and bottom. It is also takes time to get the gloss out. The gloss isn't sticky so technically it shouldn't take that much time for it to drip from the bottom to the top but it does. I usually have to have it stand on it's cap for awhile until everything has dripped to the other end before applying. Good thing is that once you apply it on your lips, it lasts quite a long time until you eat. As for taste.. there is no taste. So if you like cinnamon and stingy plump lips then this is the product for you! Too Faced is slowly becoming one of my favourite lip brands!

This balm is a really moisturizing gloss with a little bit of tint added to it. It's so natural looking on you that it has a shine finish that doesn't look like real gloss. The greatest thing I love about this product is the smell. Yes, the smell! Each balm has it's own matching smell with it's name. I got Chocolate Bunny which is a rich deep hot chocolate smell. At first, I thought the smell was incredibly fake that it almost smelt like burning plastic but I got used to it and slowly realized it did have a chocolate smell to it. When it comes to taste I really don't suggest licking off the gloss for no reason. The only reason you put on gloss is to make your lips nice and soft, right?
The offcial site says something about wearing it overnight for soft lips in the morning. Well, I put that to the test and it did work. Woke up with a nice soft lip and I could still smell the chocolate-ness. This gloss shine seems to last quite a bit because after I woke up there was some visible shine to it. Just a hint.. no more. As for how much to apply, you can be as generous as you want. Below is a picture I scanned from an old Japanese magazine I have that had the model trying both "Chocolate Bunny"(left) and "Girly Grapefruit"(right) on her lips. As you can see, it's very evident that the Chocolate one is more of a nude colour while the Grapefruit one is more pink. Don't be tricked by the colours in the pot though!

If you have ever tried any of the Philosophy lip shines before, this one is really no different from the others. Same formula, same thickness and almost the same shine. I would say that it's a very moisturizing gooey lip gloss with a lot of scent. Unfortunately, I didn't think this one smelt like lemonade at all. Instead, it smelt like some very bad lemon cough candy or throat drops. The sparkle and shine is fantastic though! Imagine a watery glossy lip with a mini explosion of gold sparkles! Taste is sweet and pretty yummy, although I don't really think it's a great idea to lick off your lip gloss. The formula comes out really well out of the easy to use slant tip side. Great stuff for winter holidays and chapped lips. In the picture below is my mini Philosophy lip shine collection. I probably will be getting more because I love this stuff so much.
