(26) Conceal the Concealed.
Long time no see! Been quite busy with school that I haven't been able to try anything new or even be bothered to do anything in general. Despite sleeping quite a lot these days, my undereye area hasn't improved much either. I have long given up on the L'Oreal True Blend concealer and have dumped it. It's practically drying up my eye area. I am quite the drugstore girl so I went online to google up some top undereye concealers. One of the concealers on the list was Physicians Formula Magic Cube Concealer. I know and have seen this product around the local Shoppers so I decided to dish out some money and get it. As the name suggests, the concealer comes in an ice cube shape with a clear exterior and a built in mirror. The concealer comes in different shades targetting specific areas of the face like blemishes, undereye or spots. I went for the undereye concealer which was the yellow tinted one.
Today, I had the worst luck. I wasn't as smart as I usually am so I picked up the first one off the rack when normally, I take the third or fourth. I guess I was lazy and blind to fail to notice that the packaging had no tape around it. So I walked towards the cash register and paid. When I got home and opened the concealer, I realized I had picked an opened one(not a tester) with a huge finger print smack in the middle. Some stupid girl decided to open up the package and not buy it. I'm still pretty pissed about it. Good thing it wasn't that expensive. I suppose this would never happen if I were to buy a department store one.
Anyways, I did try it on some of the bruises I have on my arms. It does conceal well without the cake-i-ness. However, the cube wasn't shut completely so the concealer was practically dry. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that but I assume not since it does says the formula is a creamy type. The design is pretty cute but not really suitable for small makeup pouches or cases. The clasp is also insanely annoying to use. Nearly have to have my index finger nail pulled off in order to open it up. I don't know if I'll buy the same concealer again just to try but I certainly will make sure I get an unopened package this time.
Note: I have sensitive skin that reacts to most face products including some mineral makeup. I'm not acne-prone but I do have some pinkish blemishes on my face. I also have combination skin.
